In response to demand, and working closely with Hunterseeker Armory, we developed this new lap specific for the 6.44mm “Full Thrust” system.
The Novritsch “Full Thrust” system advertises a number of advantages over typical 6mm systems. It does however come with a major limitation: compatibility. The overwhelming majority of upgrades and tools are not available for it. If your goal is to reach the “pinnacle” of accuracy, that presents a problem as you’re locked into just a handful of different options for barrels, buckings, ammo, etc. And, as we’ve demonstrated,lapping can substantially improve the performance of an already high-performing barrel.
So by customer request, we developed an all-new lap for the “Full Thrust” system. This lap is not simply a 6mm lap with its cutting surfaces moved outward contact radii increased, it has actually been redesigned from the ground up to improve swarf clearance and increase cutting speed. They use the same 1/8” square drive rod as our other laps. Included in each package are ten blank laps. Drive rods, abrasives, and so forth are available separately.
