This is a pack of Lonex Hollow O-rings, these have a U shape cross section with the bottom part of the U against the cylinder. I guess this makes them more flexible and able to conform to the cylinder better. They are cast differently so unlike conventional O-rings the seams are at 45 degree angles from the cylinder contact point. Seam flash can cause air leakage so by placing the seam away from the cylinder it avoids the problem all together.
